1. Introduction:

This privacy policy sets out how Parent Teacher Associations UK (PTA-UK) uses and protects any information that you provide when you use this website.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will be used only in accordance with this privacy statement.   • name and PTA Committee job / role title
  • contact information including emails addresses, school/home address and telephone numbers
  • demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
  • information relevant to research surveys and/or offers
  • other information which enables us to operate the service effectively for all parties

If you enter information that relates to another person or organisation you are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority and their permission to do so. (Any information relating to children requires the permission of their parent / guardian).

We will not disclose any personal data except where you have consented to us doing so or where required by law. 

4. What it is used for:

Personal data (including sensitive personal data) is only used for providing you with this service and/or other services that you may request from us from time to time. From time to time we may run voluntary online surveys which may ask you for contact and demographic details (e.g. age). We use this information to create research reports, anonymous usage and interest profiles.

We use this data to provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • internal record keeping and administration
  • we may use the information to improve our products and services
  • we may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided
  • from time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for research including market research purposes and to understand your views on a range of educational related issues
  • we may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail
  • we may use the information to customise the website according to your interests

Unsubscribing from receiving such communications, will not prevent you accessing all the member benefits available from PTA-UK.

We use this information only for the purpose of creating anonymous usage and interest profiles for the purpose of improving and developing the website and the services that we offer. We do not have access to any information contained in or generated by these cookies. Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over such websites, therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.
