Go Eco with The Big Lunch -3x£200 prizes to be won in Northern Ireland

Primary and nursery schools across Northern Ireland are invited to take part in The Big Lunch ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ competition. Three lucky schools will be selected to win a £200 cash prize to support sustainable living in their school community!

The competition is being delivered by The Big Lunch, the UK annual get together for neighbours, in partnership with the national food waste campaign, ‘Love Food Hate Waste’.

To take part, Schools must host a Big Lunch, at your event you can demonstrate how the school has encouraged visitors, staff and pupils to be more eco-friendly and reduce food waste. This can be anything from planting fresh and using as you need it, to highlighting ways food can be recycled or providing tips for food waste reduction.

Simply email us a description (in less that 500 words) of your Big Lunch, after it has taken place, including three images and details on how you helped spread the Waste reduction message, and your Big Lunch story.

Send your completed portfolio to grainnemccloskey@thebiglunch.com on, or before 11.59pm on 28 June 2014.

Note: Competition entry will also towards the Eco-Schools programme, as part of the waste topic.
