Running your PTA

Whether you’re a PTA newbie or a PTA stalwart being involved with your PTA, whilst rewarding and fun can sometimes be a bit daunting. Here at PTA-UK we’ve been supporting PTAs for over 55 years, so we think we know a thing or two about running an effective, safe, legal and most importantly profitable PTA.

Using your online account

Your PTA-UK account provides online services that once you start using regularly you’ll wonder how you managed before. The service provides a file storage facility so you’ll never lose a PTA document again. You can share information with your parents through a public folder and you can communicate with them via our PTA to Parent email service. There’s also an opportunity to network with other local PTAs, so you can share ideas and resources and make sure PTA events don’t clash.

Essentials

There are some essential areas to consider when running your PTA. Do you have a constitution in place and if so is it still fit for purpose? Should your PTA be a registered charity, it’s a legal requirement if your PTA has an income over £5,000 and are you getting the best deal from your association’s bank? We can take the pain out of some of the governance issues you need to consider, to help make your life easier.
